Princeton, NJ — The Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA) now has more than 9,000 individual members for the first time in the association’s history – a growth of 37% over the past decade.

“The construction industry is transforming, and companies are turning to CFMA for insights into how these changes might affect their business strategies,” said CFMA President & CEO Stuart Binstock. “In 2012, we recognized that CFMA membership was critical to an individual’s – and their company’s – success. We focused less on membership growth and more on membership value, which meant developing education and resources that would enhance success, not only in the short term, but also long term. Today we continue that strategy knowing that technology is driving new ways of doing business, the impact of skilled labor on the number of projects companies can take, and the concerns about the economy,” he added.

CFMA is the only nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the needs of today’s construction financial professionals and remains essential to their success and growth.

“By joining CFMA, members can stay abreast of what is happening in the industry, learn from others who are actively working in the industry, and develop and strengthen their leadership skills,” notes CFMA Chairman Michelle Eastman on the value of membership.

CFMA is an individual membership organization that has two primary membership categories, General and Associate. CFMA General Members represent all types of contractors, including general contractors, subcontractors, developers, construction managers, architects, engineers, principals, and material and equipment suppliers. CFMA Associate Members are those serving the construction industry, such as public accountants, sureties, bankers, insurance agents/brokers and carrier’s consultants, and other service providers.
