Construction Taxation, Part 1:              8 hours                        8 CPE credits
This full-day program presents an overview of the taxation issues unique to the construction industry, and is appropriate for GCs and subs of all sizes. Attendees receive a complete 200-page course/reference binder for Part 1 with additional information on the topics presented.

 

Level:
Intermediate

 

Prerequisites:
An understanding of construction accounting and financial management, with at least 3 years’ experience in those areas.

  • Discuss the pros and cons of different entity elections

  • Identify the circumstances for and the advantages/disadvantages of the different accounting methods

  • List the basic rules for CCM and PCM for long-term contracts

  • Describe the overall concepts of costing for CCM and PCM contracts

  • Discuss the basic tax principles of construction-related issues

This is an intermediate-level course that provides 8 CPE credits in the Field of Taxation.
At least three years' experience in construction financial management is recommended.
