Ensuring that the new member application has the required “Referred By” name filled in is the current sponsoring or new CFMA member’s responsibility. Back-dated or back-filled applications will not be accepted and will be ruled ineligible. Applications faxed with a time stamp at or before Midnight, Eastern Daylight Time, or postmarked by September 30, 2010 will be accepted and deemed eligible for prize winnings.

CFMA New Member Recruitment Campaign period runs from June 1, 2010 - September 30, 2010. The person named in the “Referred By” line of a new member’s application shall be a current, active CFMA member in good standing. All new member applications with “Referred By” lines that are completed will be eligible to win the prizes. All new member applications with blank “Referred By” sections will not be counted toward the prizes.

Only one individual sponsoring CFMA member will be recognized for each eligible new member application. If an eligible new member application lists two or more current sponsoring members in the Referred By section, the first individual sponsoring CFMA member listed, provided he or she is an active current CFMA member in good standing, will receive the $50 gift card. If applicable, the first individual sponsoring CFMA member’s chapter will receive credit for the chapter contests, as detailed below. However, if the first individual sponsoring CFMA member is deemed ineligible for any reason, the second individual sponsoring CFMA member listed will receive the $50 gift card, as well as credit for his or her chapter if applicable.

If the individual sponsoring CFMA member belongs to more than one chapter, CFMA HQ member staff will contact the sponsoring member and ask which chapter the sponsoring member would like the credit applied. Only one chapter can get credit for the sponsoring member’s recruitment efforts.

CFMA Headquarters reserves the right to audit any or all new member applications during the contest period. The proper eligibility of any new member application or interpretation of any these rules rests with CFMA’s Director of Member Services and the Chief Executive Officer. The determination of the Director of Member Services and Chief Executive Officer is final.

In case of a tie, a drawing will be held with CFMA’s Director of Member Services and Director of Marketing to determine a winner. These CFMA representatives will make final interpretation of these contest rules and determination of the winner(s) of the contest prizes.

The current CFMA member named in the “Referred By” line of each eligible new member application will receive a $50 gift card.

Sponsoring Member Chapter Credit for New Members during CFMA’s 2010 Member Recruitment Campaign

The chapter of the individual sponsoring CFMA member listed in the Referred By section of the new member application will be credited for the new member. The individual sponsoring CFMA member qualifies for the $50 gift card and his or her CFMA chapter will earn credit for that new member. This rule applies even if the new member does not join a specific chapter, and thus is classified as a nonaffiliated CFMA member. If the individual sponsoring CFMA member listed in the Referred By section of the new member application is a nonaffiliated CFMA member, then no chapter will be credited for the new member in this contest – even if the new member joins a CFMA chapter.

Sponsoring Member Chapter of Record during CFMA’s 2010 Member Recruitment Campaign

The individual sponsoring CFMA member’s chapter of record, for purposes of credit in this contest, will be determined by the individual sponsoring CFMA member’s record as registered in CFMA HQ’s member database. Any individual sponsoring CFMA member’s transfer of chapter affiliation is the member’s responsibility to notify CFMA HQ of the transfer. Any new member credits accrued to a chapter prior to the individual sponsoring CFMA member’s chapter transfer will remain with the chapter of record at the time of new member’s application and entry into CFMA HQ’s member database.

Winners will be announced on or before November 1, 2010. Prize substitution for cash or equivalent value in gift cards is not permitted. The Full Conference Registration Prizes are applicable to CFMA’s 2011 Annual Conference & Exhibition in Dallas only.

Conference Registration cannot be substituted for cash or for another CFMA Conference.

Any and all applicable taxes are the sole responsibility of the winners.

Chapter prizes will be awarded to each chapter’s leadership representative, who will then advise CFMA Headquarters of their individual prize winner’s names for conference registration purposes. One Grand Prize winner will receive the following gift:
