Strategic Planning: The Executive Committee unanimously approved adoption of a new Strategic Plan effective April 1, 2015. While staying true to our Mission and Core values, the four main goals and supporting objectives of the new plan are: Member Value, Companies, Chapter Relations, and External Relations. Staff is currently in the process of developing specific, actionable supporting tactics and measures of success for each of the goals and objectives.

STAR Program: Taking into account the feedback from our chapter network in the inaugural year of the STAR Program, new program parameters for 2015-16 were approved by the Executive Committee and include:
  1. Chapter Administrative Services expenses
  2. Chapter Marketing expenses (tradeshow expenses, brochures, ads, promotional materials, etc.)
  3. All Chapter Education expenses (instructor, facility, workbooks, etc.)
  4. CFMA National Speaker Program and CFMA National Education Programs
  5. All Chapter Strategic Planning expenses (facilitator, facility, food & beverage, etc.)
Peer Group Task Force: The Committee approved a recommendation from the task force, led by Samantha Hutchison, to pursue a beta test rollout of a peer group concept in the Summer of 2015 to those who responded to the preliminary peer group feedback survey sent to the general membership in March 2015.

New Chapters: Three new chapters were approved, effective April 1, 2015 [Ocean State (RI), Miami-Dade (FL), and Edmonton (Can.)] bringing the total CFMA chapter network to 91 across North America.

Chairman Steve Tenney recognized the outgoing committee members and congratulated the incoming officers for 2015-16, with Brad Robinson providing the committee an overview of his vision for CFMA during his Chairmanship.

I encourage you to reach out to me (; 609-945-2429) with ways we can continue to improve serving the needs of our members and chapters.
