Do
I
need
any
special
knowledge
or
experience?
No
–
just
the
desire
to
get
involved,
make
a
difference,
and
enhance
your
CFMA
experience!
How
often
do
committees
meet?
It
varies.
Some
meet
monthly,
others
less
often.
Meetings
are
held
via
teleconferences
and
usually
last
an
hour
or
less.
What
happens
if
I
can’t
make
every
meeting?
Not
a
problem.
We
understand
you
have
a
busy
schedule
with
many
commitments.
We
just
ask
that
you
make
the
majority
of
them.
I
am
(or
was)
very
involved
in
my
chapter
and
its
committees.
Why
should
I
join
a
national
committee?
National
committees
are
made
up
of
folks
from
all
over
the
country,
so
you’ll
gain
a
whole
new
perspective
on
things.
Plus,
working
at
the
national
level
allows
you
to
see
the
“Big
Picture”
and
have
input
into
issues
of
national
importance.
I
don’t
have
enough
time
in
the
day
now!
How
can
I
take
on
one
more
thing?
Getting
involved
at
the
national
level
is
more
than
just
“something
else”
you
have
to
do.
The
friends,
contacts,
knowledge,
and
skills
you
will
gain
are
the
dividends
you’ll
enjoy
from
making
this
investment
in
yourself
and
your
career.
