Scholarship Requirements and Application
The Valley of the Sun Chapter of the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA) will award an educational scholarship up to $2,500 in value for each semester. (Summer sessions do not qualify.)
We acknowledge that one of our primary goals is education. We also acknowledge the need for qualified employees in the construction field. These needs will be filled largely by students graduating from our area schools. We hope these scholarships will prove to be an investment in the Arizona field of construction by providing promising construction professionals with some financial assistance while completing their studies.
The applicant should demonstrate the following qualities and skills:
-
Has received or will receive a diploma from an accredited high school.
-
Have a grade point average between 3.00 and 4.00 (if already enrolled in college or technical school) or GPA between 3.40 and 4.00 (if graduating from high school).
-
Demonstrate a relationship to CFMA or other qualified construction association by a letter of recommendation from a member or an employee of a member company.
-
Have a declared major in accounting or business.
-
Show professional or civic involvement in the community.
