Summer Social -
On Wednesday night June 13th we held our
Summer Social at Brit's Pub for the second year in a row. This once
again was a very good time for all those in attendance. There was
socializing amongst members and guests, good food, cold beverages on
a very warm June evening and of course there was lawn bowling! What
a perfect way to get to meet and socialize with your fellow
members. Whether you just wanted to sit and watch the games or
whether you wanted to jump in and give it a try! Teams were divided
into 2 pools for 3 games with the top 4 teams moving up and the
other 4 re-focusing their efforts for a few more games. The winning
team this year consisted of Dan Dohse, Todd Nieland, Ross Clements
and Deb McKay. There was some pretty good lawn bowling on the
green this year so either some people have been practicing or they
are just quick learners of the game! Watch for the date next summer
as we are on their list to get signed up again for 2008. It is a
great way to come and meet fellow members in an informal setting and
feel a more apart of our great chapter.
