Central
Virginia
Chapter
was
started
in
1990
as
local
construction
financial
professionals
found
the
need
to
educate
themselves
on
the
issues
that
are
important
to
their
industry.
CFMA
is
a
nonprofit,
national
association
of
over
7,000
financial
executives
and
89
chapters.
It
is
the
primary
source
of
information,
education,
and
analyses
of
current
developments
and
various
aspects
of
financial
management
unique
to
the
construction
industry.
It
is
the
industry’s
foremost
forum
for
communication
among
construction
financial
managers.
General
membership
in
the
association
is
open
to
all
types
of
construction
contractors
and
suppliers.
In
addition,
through
associate
membership,
participation
is
open
to
other
interested
parties
including
lawyers,
public
accountants,
bankers,
and
surety
and
insurance
professionals.
